Things I have done to avoid outlining the rest of my rewrite today:
- Search for pictures of cool doors
- Make Jello play dough (it still stinks like play dough)
- Beta read
- Rave about aforementioned beta reading
- Check my email a billion times to see if my critique came back yet
- Crochet
- Clean
- Open and close a bunch of already-rewritten chapters
- Read blogs
- Write a blog about procrastinating
Amazingly enough, that dang plot hole is still gaping. Maybe I’ll dream up the answer…
I would be lying if I said I’ve never done this. It will get done, someday . . .

Hey, I said I might dream up the answer. Maybe I should put the guy whose mechanical eyes kept popping out into the storyline. 🙂

Oh, this sounds so familiar! Well, except for the jello play-doh. 🙂 And yep, it’s usually when I hit a roadblock like a plot hole. Sometimes it takes a lot of procrastination before I manage to solve that hole. Of course, I get a lot of those other things done in the meantime 😀

Haha, exactly! It’s not procrastination, it’s just selective productivity. 🙂
